To facilitate the exploration of intercellular interactions, in 2015 we published a set of 1,894 ligand-receptor pairs with primary literature support and a further 528 ‘putative pairs’ (pairs of secreted and plasma membrane proteins with high throughput protein-protein interaction (PPI) evidence) (Ramilowski, J. A., et al. Nat Commun 6, 7866 (2015)). Here, we present connectomeDB2020 an updated set of 2,187 ligand-receptor pairs with primary literature support. Extending upon our previous work, we have now annotated ligands as secreted, plasma membrane or both.
